Commissioned Work

Lutheran School of Theology, University of Chicago

Underwood School, Newton Corner, MA

Main entryway vestibule stained glass window with student artist "tack" fused glass tiles.

A 40" diameter stained glass window made in collaboration with fifty 5th graders from the Underwood School in Newton Corner, MA.

Using glass powders, frits, stringers, confetti, and glass pieces, each student created three fused glass tiles for the assemblage; each individual used words of his or her choice to reflect on the school experience. Individually, the tiles represent each student's hand; collectively, they form a glass quilt over the main entrance to the school. This piece was a gift from the graduating middle school students to the school, commissioned by the parent council.
