Fused Glass
Glass Fusing Techniques
Glass can take many appearances: opaque or transparent, monolithic or made up of layered pieces. In the kiln, heat and gravity do their magic: capturing bubbles, transforming opaque powders into veils of transparent colors, and curving flat fused pieces into three dimensional shapes. After that, cold work techniques, such as polishing and sandblasting, offer a new range of possibilities to modify the appearance of the fused objects.
